Are You Asking Yourself These 3 Questions?

Are you reflecting on your goals? I love reading other bloggers, coaches and entrepreneurs thoughts about setting goals. Recently, during The Ultimate Blog Challenge, Robert Stritzinger shared a video by Vishen Lakhiani.  Vishen is the CEO of Mind Valley. He is an out of the box thinker on personal development.

targetVishen finds that many people wake up at age 40 stuck in a job they don’t like because they confuse means goals and end goals.  Means goals are the stuff society tells us we need to reach to get to end goals. Vishen shares his example of chasing a means goal (a high paying job as a programmer) instead of his end goals (travel and personal development).

Anthony Robbins, motivational speaker and coach says that we have two great spiritual needs; the need to grow ourselves and the need to contribute.

Combining his experience and Anthony Robbins comments, Vishen has created 3 most important questions to ask yourself.  His exercise is timed to 90 seconds for each question. He uses the timer to help shut down the logical mind and access the creative right brain.  I tried it while watching the video. It was very helpful. Give it a try. http://youtu.be/f8eU5Pc-y0g

I’d love to hear your experience with this exercise. I will be putting my answers onto my vision board!
