I had been trying all winter to be more focused and in the moment and it didn’t work. I think that I had some preconceived ideas of what being in the moment would look like and feel like.
I wanted my meditation time to be more structured. I was pushing to try to meditate the same time every day, even though that has never really worked for me.
Affirmations are wonderful. I love how using affirmations helps to shift your mood or perspective. Affirmations also help to maintain a desired vibration.

Recently, I spent quite a bit of time trying to do a class exercise. The exercise was Imagining your Perfect Average Day as presented by Frank Kern. While the exercise is certainly useful, I found that focusing on specific details was actually causing me great distress.

Happy New Year to Everyone! Traditionally, the New Year is a time when people set goals. I usually select a theme for the New Year. Last year’s theme was Alignment and it triggered as series of situations to learn what alignment meant. There were lots of opportunities for transformation and healing. I am still examining how my thoughts, words, beliefs, and activities are congruent.
I am in the process of doing my year end review. Previously, I would look ahead to the New Year without giving much thought to the year that had past. But in the last three years I have changed.
Why? Well, I do agree with Socrates. “The unexamined life is not worth living.” But, the truth is, that a year end review allows you to see things from a new perspective.
This has been a very busy Autumn for me. My birthday was on Oct. 19th and from the website of unusual holidays, it lists Oct. 19th as Life Evaluation Day.
