2015 The Year of Personal Power

When I wrote the words “Powerful Presence Purpose and Passion” on my 2015 Vision Board I was surprised. Power is not a word I usually use when I think about myself. I usually think of myself as gentle, supportive and having inner strength. But my thoughts and beliefs about myself have been shifting.

computer support - lifesaverInterestingly, moments of insight came together when I lost power. One Sunday morning about 5 am I woke up to beeping. My computer battery and surge protector had failed. It needed to be replaced and I needed to call tech support to reset my computer. But tech support was closed for the holidays and would not reopen until the next day.

All my plans for the day were not going to happen. I felt very disconnected. I have a lot of friends that I email and Skype with regularly. My phone also was not working so I could not reach my local friends.

After sitting with my discomfort for awhile, I asked myself “What was it that I should look at? What lesson can I learn from this situation?”

contemplativeThe thought came to look at my life decade by decade. What were the events that occurred? What actions did I take? What were my emotional responses? And then looking at myself as a character in a TV drama; What beliefs had I formed about my life? Did I still hold those beliefs or had I let them go or shifted them?

I grabbed a large sheet of drawing paper and wrote columns for the decades. After writing about 3 decades, I wandered over to the book shelf. And the book “Personal Power Through Awareness” by Sanaya Roman came to my attention.

I read several chapters and page 44 was very insightful:

“To know who you are means making a commitment to yourself. What is a commitment to yourself? Some of you think that it means using your willpower to force yourself to live that vision of who you think you should be.”

Making a commitment to
yourself means listening to your
feelings from moment to moment
and acting on what is right
for you in present time.

And so my thoughts about myself as powerful has shifted:

I am powerful when I make choices.
I am powerful when I listen to my inner guidance.
I am powerful when I focus my energy.
I am powerful when I set intentions to guide me.
I am powerful when I flow with what’s happening.
I am powerful when I am compassionate with myself.
I am powerful when I practice being present and aware.

Which brings me to the words purpose and passion:

My purpose is to create a reality filled with love and joy by being connected with Spirit, with Source, and allowing this Divine Energy to flow into all parts of my life.

My passion is to bring more healing, more wholeness into my life and the lives of others. I created Your Healing Pathways as a vehicle to connect with others and use my gifts to guide and empower others in expressing their highest potential as it unfolds.

My heart delights in working 1:1 with individual clients. One of my gifts is holding a safe space for you to connect with your soul. Over the years I have noticed that there are 3 areas or pathways most people work with on their spiritual journey.

pathsPath of Peace – is about mindfulness, meditation, prayer, intuition, understanding soul concepts, finding your inner calm and balance, tapping into your guidance and releasing old beliefs.

Path of Truth – is about looking at your life from different perspectives, reframing events, examining relationships, forgiveness, using affirmations, energy tools and evolutionary psychology.

Path of Wisdom –  is about looking at long standing patterns, chronic issues, past life issues, clearing family karma, working with your guides and angelic team, and using your Human Design and Astrology chart as blueprints for greater wholeness and accessing your gifts.

These paths are not exclusive. We all grow in different ways and so there is overlap. If you are feeling a call to more wholeness, I invite you to see if working together is a match.
