Once upon a time there was a princess who loved to play. She enjoyed talking to the plants, birds, trees and angels in the garden.
She would swing for hours on the swing looking for faces in the raindrops.
She could see what people were really thinking behind the mask they wore on their faces.
She traveled to other realms with the blink of an eye, making sure of course not to worry her mother.
Since she was not allowed to use the “workers” paints or tools, she repainted houses and created vehicles in her mind.
She had her own wardrobe entirely sketched by hand that she wore whenever she wanted.
She loved to sing and color. But most of all she loved reading and telling stories to her beloved subjects, “the dolls.”
I wrote this poem in 2010, after giving several talks and workshops about the vision boards I have created and how I use them. I have been using vision boards since 1991. I find creating vision boards a wonderful way to focus my intentions and manifest change in my life. I like the combination of right brain and left brain activity involved in creating a vision board.
I combine several other tools with vision boards as part of my spiritual practice. I will be sharing more about creating vision boards in future posts.
