When I created my first vision board in 1991, I had not heard of the Law of Attraction, nor vibrations or frequency. I used the concept of treasure mapping as described by Catherine Ponder in her book, OPEN YOUR MIND TO PROSPERITY. M y desire for my first vision board was to bring a relationship into my life. I used the following quote (source unknown) as my inspiration:
“What you are now depends on what you were thinking in the past.
What you will be in the future depends on what you are thinking now.
So begin now and build the kind of future you desire,
and remember only what you think can come to you.
Daily keep out of your mind all negative thinking.
Think only of the things you desire in your life, things you wish to accomplish.
And then your predominating habit of thought will be changed and all
you desire will be the reality of the future.”
Many coaches today encourage their clients to create vision boards. Here is what they have to say about how vision boards work.
“When you surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have, where you want to live or vacation, your life changes to match those images and those desires. Your attention is that powerful.”
~Christine Kane, singer-songwriter, www.ChristineKane.com
“The purpose of a vision board is to activate the law of attraction to begin to pull things from your external environment that will enable you to realize your dreams. By selecting pictures and writings that charge your emotions with feelings of passion, you will begin to manifest those things into your life.”

From my experience in creating more than 12 vision boards, I find that it is very important to interact with your vision board every day. As you look at the pictures feel yourself living that reality in the present moment. See yourself being the person that already is expressing those qualities. The more you believe it, the more you will see it in your life.
